What to Expect From Online Personal Training
Online personal training combines professional coaching with flexibility, structure, and real accountability — without being tied to a gym location.
Online training typically includes live 1-on-1 video sessions, where we train together in real time. You still receive coaching cues, corrections, and progressions — just through video instead of in person.
Between live sessions, clients often follow recorded workouts or structured programs. These are customized based on your equipment, schedule, and experience level, allowing you to train consistently on your own time.
Most online coaching also uses an app-based platform to track workouts, communicate, and monitor progress. This keeps everything organized — exercises, videos, notes, and feedback all in one place. Trainerize is the training app that I've found to be the most user-friendly and effective for my clients.
The biggest benefit? Flexibility without losing structure. Online training works well for busy professionals, parents, travelers, and anyone who wants expert guidance without commuting to a gym.
When done correctly, online personal training isn’t a downgrade — it’s simply a different delivery method built around consistency, accountability, and smart programming.
